Stella's Ruffled Fingers is in its first season here. It has lived up to its billing of being an excellent rebloomer. Stella started out in a pot in a very sunny spot and quickly proceeded to start putting on a bloom show with at least 13 scapes. When that was done, it put up another 11 or 12 scapes rather quickly. After that bloom, it began to slow done a little, and we began to believe that the heat might be affecting it in that pot. It did more nice blooms, just not as many and smaller blooms, so Stella was moved to a place where it was receiving some shade. It has put up scapes on and off, usually three or four at a time, and now in September, it seems to be done, maybe. I say maybe because we have now planted it in the garden in what we hope will be its permanent home. Who knows, it just might start up again with blooms.
