Many of our games are won by people willing to dig a little to find answers to questions or fill in the blanks. This time we will try two concurrent games, one for researchers and one for guessers.
One winner will be the first person to accurately name the authors of a list of books with plant references in the titles.
The other winner will be the first person to correctly guess which of those books I have actually read.
You can choose to play in only one game or submit an answer for both, and it is possible that the same person could win both games.
The winner of each game can choose one of these prizes. I can accommodate both winners if they want the same prize:
1. 6 seeds of Diplocyclos palmatus, Marble Vine. I really enjoyed this plant. I have not collected many seeds yet, but I started with just two and it is easy to grow.
Marble Vine (Diplocyclos palmatus)
2. 10 seeds of Cuphea schumannii, freshly collected
Schumann’s Cuphea (Cuphea schumannii)
3. 3 acorns
Game One-Who wrote it?
Murder in the Secret Garden
An Unthymely Death and Other Garden Mysteries
The War of the Flowers
Flowers in the Attic
Where the Red Fern Grows
Black Narcissus
Game Two-Which one have I read?
I might have seen the movie, read reviews, or even discussed some of these books, but I've only read one of them.
Which one?
