i acquired 2 proprogated fiddle leaf fig branches a week ago. i re-potted them last week and in a week, i see little roots poking above the soil.
is that good or bad? should i cover them with more soil? i dont see any new buds yet.

Its happened to me on more than one occasion, I just gently push it back down under the soil, the roots will learn which direction to grow to the forum

I agree with Gene that this is not a cause for concern.

I also do not find his very direct response to be offensive. Everyone has a different style and manner. As long as a response is not nasty or distasteful, I think visitors will be able to understand that we all have different ways of communicating and presenting ourselves. I am sure that there are folks out there who do not like my style of presentation. And that's okay. Let's not censor style.

It's kind of refreshing I think. Humor can be a tough thing on a forum, but Gene can be hilarious. I don't think I have ever seen him scare any one yet.
