Thread OP

i acquired 2 proprogated fiddle leaf fig branches a week ago. i re-potted them last week and in a week, i see little roots poking above the soil.
is that good or bad? should i cover them with more soil? i dont see any new buds yet.

Its happened to me on more than one occasion, I just gently push it back down under the soil, the roots will learn which direction to grow Thumbs up Welcome! to the forum

Gene, you are going to start scaring new plant enthusiasts so they stop coming to this forum. Isn't the point for people to come here for help? Your manner is not very polite, and intimidating. Just sayin.'

I agree with Gene that this is not a cause for concern.

I also do not find his very direct response to be offensive. Everyone has a different style and manner. As long as a response is not nasty or distasteful, I think visitors will be able to understand that we all have different ways of communicating and presenting ourselves. I am sure that there are folks out there who do not like my style of presentation. And that's okay. Let's not censor style.

It's kind of refreshing I think. Humor can be a tough thing on a forum, but Gene can be hilarious. I don't think I have ever seen him scare any one yet.

Perhaps I overreacted. Sorry Gene. I thought you were being a smart alec. But it's true--I've seen very funny posts by you. No hard feelings.
