I've been growing daylilies for over20 years. It did not get serious until I discovered Michael's Daylily Auction. He has continuously improved the Auction over the years because he listens to his members. THANK YOU MICHAEL for all you do!
I am a regular seed seller on the Auction. I just started listing my seeds. I am starting with the TET Spider/ UFO group this year because there was a great harvest of them this year. I was able to achieve crosses that the plants only laughed at in years past. I have the same Alias on the Daylily Auction: Sscape If you enter it in the Search engine on the Auction in the upper left corner under "Seller", all my listings will come up. I hope I can spark some interest among you all.

Mike is a class act, tireless worker, and has created a truly wonderful selling/buying environment. He listens and is continually improving the LA.

I started buying on the auction in 1999. It was very basic, even had a chat room you could enter after blowing a couple hundred dollars...lol. Back then, you could leave feedback without purchasing,..which got pretty wild.

Many of the original sellers are gone now. Buyers too. The auction survived the first rust outbreak in 2001, and few real bad selling ideas (like pre-ordered custom seeds, and selling pollen), and a few unscrupulous sellers and deadbeat buyers. Mike has been there through it all, dealing with every kind of situation imaginable.

He has created a perfect way to connect folks who want to have fun (bidding IS fun), earn a little money, and add rare and beautiful plants to their collection.

I also like that I can look and see if a certain daylily was offered before and what was paid for it so I don't bid too high. And of course there are the grumbly times I don't win what I really wanted because someone is bidding me up and I finally just give up And yes Virginia, My name is Virginia (Ginny) and I'm a Lily Auction addict too

Mike was always very helpful when any glitches arose on the auction. In addition to feeding addictions, the auction has helped to locate hard-to-find cultivars and found a market for sellers with surplus. Unfortunately, it seems to be gradually losing its market to social media sellers with lots of hucksterism and unreliable quality.

Mike Longo's Lily Auction (LA) is an auction site I trust. He guarantees and holds sellers accountable.

I actually dealt with a bad seller. Won some seeds on an auction that never sprouted. Mike apparently had received complaints about this seller and got involved when I had issues. Until Mike got involved, the seller was making excuses and nearly ignoring me. Within a week after Mike got involved, I got a message allowing me to get a full refund to my PayPal account.

I love the LA because it is a top notch auction and Mike & his staff stay on top of sellers and buyers to keep the site highly rated. Some fantastic sellers use the site so the genetic pool with seeds and plants is very diverse from rare older daylilies to the newest intros.
