Royal Occasion is a favorite of mine because of its excellent branching, lovely blooms, and robust growth. It formed a very nice clump.

Royal Occasion has been a good daylily for years in my garden. Until last year and this year when we have had an abundance of rain. Other daylilies have done well, but Royal Occasion has declined in size. I thought might I had lost it, but found 5 fans of it still surviving.

I heard of Royal Occasion daylilies, and they are a BEAUTIFUL dark reddish purple. I got a daylily called Lil' Red Wagon from my step-mother's friend about 3 weeks ago. And it is getting really big. I can't wait to see it's nice red blooms next year. Red daylilies are my favorite! Smiling
