Green Rainbow just completed its first full year here. It started rather slowly, but picked up as the season progressed. We were quite surprised by late scapes, really extended the bloom time.

This picture was taken August 31 as was the following one---

I was surprised at the number of buds this late.

Green Rainbow on Sept. 4. This is the last picture I took but I am sure there were more flowers.

We will be eagerly awaiting to see next year's flowers.

Like Avedon, this was the first full year for Green Rainbow. It looked rather small this spring, I wasn't really expecting much and was surprised to see several scapes on it. It bloomed well for its first year, I love the flowers. I'm always anticipating next years blooms, the fans are much better looking this fall & I think it should have a lot more blooms next year.

I got a double fan last September and quickly increased and I have 4 fans today. I only had a moderate number of buds with our weird weather this year but I enjoyed 3 weeks of very lovely blooms. I'm glad I added it to my garden and hope to see more from it next year

Green Rainbow has been planted for three seasons. It started as a double fan, and three years later it is 4 fans. I have yet to see a scape or bloom. Herrington plants are hit and miss here and this one seems to be a miss in my northern garden

After 4 more years, Green Rainbow has increased nicely. Last year it did not bloom much for some reason, we did have a wacky spring so that may have contributed. This year it made up for it and bloomed almost 6 weeks. I set pods on it, but weather got hot and dry and only 1 pod produced viable seed. I generally like larger flowers, but I think this is such an interesting flower it will stay in my garden.
