I have 2 good sized Cora Louise Peonies that could use dividing. If you have other ITOH peonies and are interested in a trade, please tree mail me. (for some reason I don't get notified when someone posts on these treads.)

Happy Gardening!

Hi Jen,

I guess you know I'm not writing about the Cora Louise (another good grower like Singing in the Rain).

I really just wanted to say hi and remark that I also seem to sometimes not get notified with an e-mail if someone posts on one of my threads.

I also wanted to say I just traded with Jen for some double bloodroot and a different Itoh peony and she is a good trader who sends nice plants. Have no fears if you want to trade with her.

I would be happy to trade again. Maybe I'll get the time and energy to divide my Bartzella in the next two weeks and we can talk about a spring swap for some of the things I was a bit interested in if you like, Jen. Sometimes I feel like it's just the two of us interested in trading plants.

Hi Pat,

Yes, again I didn't get notified that this post was here. It's weird.

I did find a Barzella on sale late in the season, though not in flower so I HOPE she really is Bartzella!

Touch base with me in the spring if you've got something I'm seeking. Enjoy what's left of our gardening season - it was 50 and rainy here today!

I'm glad you found it on sale. It will probably be the right one (fingers crossed). I think we may be in the same boat of having some very desirable plants we could trade for some other very desirable plants we really want but having a hard time making a match because we both have too darn many things already!

All in all, it's not the worst predicament to be in. LOL

I certainly do miss the good old days on that other trading forum where there were lots of traders and many willing to take a chance on trading hard to find plants. Especially some traders from the Pacific Northwest area had really interesting things.

Anyway, best of luck to you in your future trades here or wherever.

Hello Pat & Jen, I have traded with both of you in the distant past when there was active trading going on at Dave's Garden. Trading plants seems to have gone out of vogue at almost all the garden websites. I would really like to do a trade next spring with either one of you or both of you. I will be working on my plant list over the winter and will let you know when it is up to date.

I bought a Barzelle at an end of season sale 2 years ago. It didn't do much it's first year but last spring it had a dozen beautiful yellow blooms almost as big as my head, plus it has great foliage for the rest of the growing season. Good luck with yours.

Felisa,

How are you!? I would love to do another trade with you in the spring. I try to keep my lists fairly up to date, though I sometimes have treasures that I don't list unless someone has something I really want ;)

Are you interested in a piece of Cora Louise next year? I'm digging one of mine for a trade this weekend, and I'd be happy to separate off a division and tag it for you, or even pot it and sink it for next spring (though typically I'd do Peony trades in fall). Let me know if I have stuff on my list that you're interested in that are best dug in fall and I'll do them now in preparation for spring.

Thanks so much for touching base!

Jen

Hi Felisa,

It's nice to touch base with you. I really like trading but I do have too much here already, so it gets tougher all the time.

I try to keep my plant list up to date with all the plants I'm growing or want. If you look at my profile page you can also see that I have clickable lists of Daylily Seedlings, Plants I'm Offering and Plants I'm looking for. I had not realized you could do this until the helpful people here pointed it out to me.

If you see something you really want on my plant list but not "for trade" list, you can always ask.

Use the cold weather to work on your plant lists here. I think this site is fabulous ... just wish there were more active traders.
