Out of interest, does anyone know if the name refers to Macbeth or was the hybridiser a Terry Pratchett fan?

We would have to ask Margo Reed... I just took a look at her homepage. All she says about Third Witch is "THIRD WITCH, Reed, 2003 - 44" M 6" dor.dip. Spider. Black red, dark eye, green throat, vigorous grower".
Source: Woodhenge Gardens... I can't put the link in yet, to new a newbie, lol. Anyway, there's a contact address on the homepage.

I think the name is just part of a naming theme with Brown Witch and Grey Witch coming first and this one is the Third Witch. After this one playfully comes Sand Witch.
