I am almost finished sorting and renaming the photos of my seedlings that I took this season. I thought it would be fun to share photos of siblings to see how alike and different they can be from each other, as well as from their parents.
I will use a separate post for different crosses, and will try to update over fall and winter as we do our daylily dreaming.

This first cross contains one of my very favorite seedlings (BP X RFK #6), and some close runners-up. I purchased this cross from the Lily Auction in the winter of 2016.

Parents: Bob Faulkner seedling BP (nicknamed this for being a big plant in the grower's garden) X Rose F. Kennedy. Here are their photos:

I think I am in love with all of them. So gorgeous! Are they about the same size in bloom and scape height? I have a few siblings pics but will have more next year to compare. When I get home, I will take a look and post them.

Scapes heights were a little erratic, maybe due to being first-year seedlings. Five of them rebloomed, with each one having a much taller scape on the rebloom. Bud counts ranged from 10 to 23. Flower size ranged from 5.5" to 7".

My favorite was #6, and it had the best stats also: 35 inch scape, 6.5 inch bloom, and 23 buds on its first rebloom scape (15 buds on last scape of the year, which bloomed in August).
