Hi,
I've had this question for a while. I can see how I can post photos of garden landscapes (groups of plants) but I'm not sure if that's the place to post photos of individual plants. I can see where the plants database site seems to have a place to post photos of new plants (ones that aren't represented yet in the database) but is it the place to post photos of individual plants that are already in the database?

Yes. If you open the database entry for the plant you want to post a photo of, in a box on the left click on the option to 'upload a photo' then follow the directions. You will notice that there are various 'galleries' or types of photos. That will give you an idea of what photos would be useful for the databank. I'm of the opinion that if we already have several close-up bloom photos, enough is enough, and encourage folks to focus (pun intended) on other facets of the plant - front and back of the leaf structure, the entire plant, just a bud, fall color, etc. I find those alternate photos often more useful when trying to ID a plant and/or when contemplating whether to use it in my garden. They also make for a more complete database. Caveat - my opinion appears to be in the minority as evidenced by the gazillion almost duplicate photos of individual blooms...so take it with a grain of salt, and no offense intended to those on the other side of the fence.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
