Daylily (Hemerocallis 'You Angel You')

A friend gave me a couple fans of You Angel You in 2010, Since I'm not fond of doubles I wasn't too excited but decided to give it a try. You Angel You has turned out to be a great plant and I like it very much. Its pretty, blooms well, reblooms and it has multiplied to the point that I'm able to divide and share. It is still the only double I have in the garden.

I planted You Angel You in the Spring of 2021. It has managed to grow to 5 fans from 2 and bloomed a little bit this summer, from June 30- August 1, with at least 6 flowers ( I think I missed some while traveling). The cutest bloom! I like doubles although this one was barely a double most of the time. I assume it will do better next year.

2023 update…You Angel You did do better this year. Blooming from June 24- August 2 ( impressive) it had at least 22 blooms. It ended the season with 7 fans. I'm surprised by how often this supposed double is a single with maybe one little flirty petaloid. Still, it is the cutest little Daylily, either way.
