Name: Mike Hazel Crest, IL (Zone 6a) "Have no patience for bare ground"
Frog's Eye has been here about two years. Unlike Karen's mine has bloomed its tail off. I suspect that it will only get better with time. The big unusual blooms beckons you to come closer. I love it!
I sure hope to see these beauties in my garden next year. I have it next to my Francis of Assissi and FoA bloomed very well this summer but FE just grew healthy foliage and many fans. I don't know what's up with my plant.

Took a year to settle in here (Western Australia) where it did absolutely nothing, then has produced well ever since. I've had Frog's Eye for 4 years now and love its beautiful blooms that show off that large green throat, it definitely grabs your attention in the garden. Slow to moderate increase in fans. Pollen infertile for me and pods take some persistence.
I planted Frog's Eye in October of 2023. It is starting life in my garden with 3 fans. It's in a somewhat shady location, I hope it will flower eventually.
