I've grown Passion For Red for several years now. As a semi-evergreen it has been a reliable performer in my yard but has barely increased. The flowers are gorgeous but catch them early in the day. They are NOT colorfast and fade in sunlight. Honestly, they probably look the worst of any daylily in my garden after a hot, sunny day. Still, if planted in semi-shade you will be rewarded each morning with large, beautiful blooms.

This plant has been here a couple of years now, it has beautiful blooms and my first photo of it this year was taken back on 04-30-2017.

The last photo of it was taken this year on 08-20-17. This was also the latest in the day I have a photo of it. My plant is in full sun so it may be that it does fade later in the day, so I took no photos of it then. It has shown some resistant against rust and it has multiplied moderately well for me here in zone 8b.
Over all, when it was blooming I thought it one of the more attractive booms and have been well pleased with the plant. I would not rank it as a superlative performing plant, but above average in my garden.

Still probably the most brilliant red in my garden. Here in the North, I haven't noticed the fading aspect. What is a limitation is the fairly low bud count. A vibrant color on a vigorous plant. Not ruffled like more recent reds, but a nice large bloom and very reliable here.

I obtained Passion for Red in the fall of 2021. I was looking for rust-resistant daylilies, so I bought a DF from Amador. I planted it in a good spot in a new bed, one in which all the daylilies seem to thrive.

I have been happy with Passion for Red although it has been slow to increase. As of this morning, I still have only two fans.

Passion for Red has bloomed for me in each of the two seasons it's been in my garden, but the number of blooms has been sparse. I don't have any rebloom in my notes. With that said, the blooms are really lovely--a brilliant red with gentle ruffling. The yellow patches on the sepals are quite distinctive, making photos of the plant easy to identify. You can get an excellent view of this trait in the close-up picture Becky included in her OP above.

Passion for Red has been largely rust-resistant as I had hoped. Any rust it has shown has been late in the season, long after the bloom period is over. The foliage dies back here in the winter, so the plant comes up clean in the spring and stays that way until September or October, when it shows a little rust. That is not a problem for me. I will keep Passion for Red.

I will probably update this review next year with a report on rebloom.
