While down Florida a few months ago. My friend picked a red fruit off this cactus and gave me. I washed the seeds out of it and planted it up.

Hetty,
Don't know what I am going to do with all those cactus. I just couldn't help myself to see if I could do it. So far so good. It's like watching grass growing in the winter, under the snow. Smiling

I'm very, very interested. I don't know how you want to do this, however I can save some money for you, or trade something. What are you looking for? Please, please let me know what you want to do and how we should proceed. I've never traded plants or plant parts or seeds.

Great looking, Stush - wonder how long they take to mature...

I am afraid I will be an old man when they get one inch tall. These got to be the slowest plants I have ever grown. Since this is the first time doing this, I don't have a clue if there are growth spurts.

I'm sure there are, especially since most of them have dormant periods.

Now that we have a very nice warm week, and next week looks the same, I moved a lot of my plants on the back porch and boy did they take off. I will post another picture of them next week before I bring them back in. This weather is not going to last very long. and when it goes it usually brings in very bad storms.
Stush

Dogpack, I c-mailed you. I didn't get a reply. Any who wants some can c-mail me. I'll put you on the list but they are so small that it may be a few months before they could be disturbed. also the package would be small and could be mailed 1 st. class for only a few dollars which I am not worried about.
