A few more of @vanozzi's Aurelians flowering:

A lovely little trumpet. Paul mentioned that the few trumpets in the mix were only suitable for garden lilies, but I think I'll keep this one just as a nice addition to the garden.

A big yellow-orange starburst just opening this morning (similar ones last year tended to fade, so I will watch to see what happens with this one):

First bloom on PR-G44 for this year:

Might be a bit slow adding photos for the next week or so. Phone line (and hence Internet) problems.

A few more Aurelians.

PR-T01F. One of my favourites from last year and the colours are richer this year.

Last year:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/4ae2fa Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/dfffa1

This year:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/e10668 Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/28a7cd

The blotches have given me pause, although they only seem to be visible when lit from behind and aren't visible on the reverse. I've noted a few places where insects and earwigs have attacked a few buds, so I'm hoping that this is not viral (both plants that showed viral symptoms last year were on the opposite side of the house and quickly destroyed). I'll have to check the other buds as they open.

A new one open yesterday evening:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/6935b3 Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/64bba8

The second bud was opening this morning.
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/89724e

I wonder what upset the first one? This second one seems to be a solid orange.

Joshua, I don't think you have reason to worry about those blotches. I had similar markings on 'Robina' in its first year. It was gone the next. Smiling

Paul, what a wonderful seedling. I have never seen anything like it. Congrats! Thumbs up

Josh, I've only seen viral blotching that is darker in color rather than light or white. Not that I know it all, but I cautiously say there is no problem. Remember though, that L. henryi parentage gives pretty good viral tolerance. And just because something suspect one year does not show up the next, doesn't necessarily mean it's clean (although it usually does).

Thanks William. I'm suspicious the crazy weather this season has affected things. Here's a few more photos of the blotched orange (T01F), now with the second bud open. It has a mark on the lowest sepal that matches a bit of missing colour on the reverse:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/938df9 Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/a1110a

Reverse of the first bud with a lighter patch on the lower left petal matching the largest blotch on the front:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/88fb00

All the marks seem to be at the edges, though, and the foliage is clean:
Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/4c3ddf Thumb of 2018-01-03/Australis/b7593b

Additionally, the last bud on that small trumpet I posted a few days back has opened and it has an extra bit of colour on the top petal.

Interesting ruffles/"tears" along the petal edges, Anthony! Is this a genetic trait?

Wonderful, Della. I must get myself 'Terracotta Warrior'.
