Right now we just have our Rigel dog, but we may find a companion for him in the next year. He is full of energy and needs more play and exercise than we're giving him.

Oh! I Googled it and the first hit for Rigel was a dog by that name said to have saved people from the Titanic!

I have a four year old black and white female Papillon named Lily. My best buddy and always with me. Very sweet and smart and energetic.

I also feed an outdoor feral cat. He is young, maybe a year old and a solid shade of slate grey. He has no one else, showed up here as a starving stray poor guy. But now he is well fed.

This morning after eating his first meal of the day Shadow the cat was sitting outside on the driveway near the scattered bird seeds. And a squirrel was there eating not a foot and a half away from him. As brazen as can be. I guess he realized the cat couldn't get him as the cat is not big or strong enough.

Many, many years ago I used to have a lovely black and white kitty that caught squirrels and then proceeded to eat them. So funny to watch her drag her dead squirrels home, they were pretty big.

For those that don't know I am a Great Dane mom. This is the first time in over twenty years we only have one. After Harper died in the spring we tried a Newfie rescue but Winston wanted no parts of her. Was too hard trying to keep them separated and safe, along with grandkids so we weren't able to keep her. Luckily a family member was able to give her a wonderful home. It was strange for a while only having one dog but used to it now and it is actually easier.
We also have 5 cats...Nera, Peck, Fae, Jinx and Mazey. All rescues that range in age from 5 to 3 months. Seems I got one every year Hilarious! Whistling
We also have 5 zebra finches, a bearded dragon, and 9 chickens.
