I was never a fan of this plant, though it was lauded upon its introduction and has been a parent to some plants I really like (particularly Jelly Roll Morton). Perhaps I am not attracted to the pinched form. I also remember it as being too upfacing and a rather mundane color. At any rate, it is no longer here. Was definitely at least the registered height.

I received this plant from a generous member this past fall, and haven't seen it bloom as yet. But I can tell you that I received stocky plants, indicating that it's a strong grower. The roots and leaves were huge. Blinking I can't wait to see it's blooms. I'm sure that I'm going to love having it in my garden. I'll post photos when it does. Thumbs up

I've had Rock Lobster for many years and have moved it , split it many times and it still grows strong with sturdy scales and I always have tons of blooms on this one. It multiplies quickly for me and looks great paired with my Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Thumbs up

Not so tall here but it's only its first season so that may change once established. The bloom is nice but not exceptional. Seems to be a hardy plant. I think it will be more impressive once it forms a clump.
