Hey All,

Found this growing in prairie type garden in Chicago.

I've looked into it but can't settle on what type of Aster it is. Maybe Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, S. praealtum, S. lanceolatum, or maybe S. pilosum? I also thought A. umbellatus?

The number of petals on the flower heads are throwing me off a bit.

I don't think it is Heath aster.
The leaves on Heath aster are narrow and smooth and the leaves on this plant are wider and also hairy.
I have looked and couldn't find a match. Smiling

My eyesight isn't the best but I wonder if it might be a variety of Hairy Aster (Symphyotrichum pilosum)
