I bought this cultivar, but unfortunately did not receive it. When it bloomed, the error was obvious! So, I cannot comment on this plant.

Ethel was my first "non-Tiger Lily" and taught me much about daylilies.

She has always done very well every year, consistent rebloom, and even gets proliferations from time to time. She does so we'll, in fact, that I find her almost boring. Blinking

A definite candidate for anyone wanting a stalwart, undemanding landscape plant.

I bought Siloam Ethel Smith in 2020. I had it about a year and half. It seemed to be one of those dormants that doesn't like a really warm climate, because it never did anything for me--it neither increased nor bloomed. On the plus side, I never saw rust on it either. In retrospect, I may not have given it enough of a chance. But I found it a disappointment and gave it away.

I planted Siloam Ethel Smith this October 2023, from Simonton Bridge. It's in a Sunny Location on Middle Daylily Hill and is starting garden life here with four fans. Siloam plants generally like my yard.
