This was my first summer for Siloam Show Girl. I shared a fan with my granddaughter and put the rest in my new mini garden. I got a few blooms that were so dainty and velvety. Hopefully I get good increase and lots more blooms next summer Crossing Fingers!

Pauline Henry has made a dramatic contribution to the Siloam collection.
Even at the end of a hot day, there is a striking colour statement. Here is a throat of wonderful graduating colour, blending out to the red band or eye, and beyond.

And next is something I don't always notice: here the intense colour of the throat is echoed along the length of the stamens.

Thumb of 2018-01-08/HemNorth/7d7a20 Little details like this always intrigue me.

I have grown this one for many years. It is a consistent performer in zone 5. I have never tried to use its pollen or set seeds on it, but the bees are successful. Blooms above the foliage.

I have grown SSG for several years now. I plan to germinate some seeds from Siloam Show Girl X Indy Long Legs this winter. We'll see how that goes. I will have to take note next year when SSG blooms to see the "throat is echoed along the length of the stamens" as HemNorth mentioned. I love the color and the shading of the eye in SSG. One of my favorite smaller DL's. It does well in my zone 5 garden. It does reach its registered height and bloom size.

Let me know if you find that detail on the stamens this summer, Petruske. And good luck with your seeds of that cross. let us know what you come up with. Siloam Show Girl sure is sweet, and she does have a generous supply of buds.

I planted this little lady this May, 2021. I only got one flower, but that's ok. Hopefully she'll grow and be happy and I'll have more to report next year.

2022…Wow! What a great plant! Siloam Show Girl has become one of my favorite minis. When I planted her, I had 2 fans. By Fall 2021, she had 3 fans. The following Spring, she was up to 5 fans and this Fall, she was up to 6. She has tripled herself in 2 seasons!

This summer, SSG bloomed from July 6 to August 2, making it a ML in my yard. It was a pretty long blooming period and she packed 30 flowers into it. Beautiful, velvety, vibrant scarlet flowers, each perfect. I'm so pleased with this one!

I planted this one 4 years ago. Until this year, blooms have been blah--I planned to remove it this fall. Now it stays. Finally have the nice color and good bud count- 12 to 23 bud count on 3-5 way branching. We have had a lot of rain so maybe a factor in growth and blooms. As others have said, it increases quickly.

2023 update…great year for SSG. Blooming from July 5-30, I counted over 70 blooms on this plant. She has doubled herself again since last season, ending October with 12 fans. She will be a great clump in no time at this rate! And every bloom is perfect.
