I know that some of you belong to Iris Societies around the country. I am show chair for ours for the fourth year. It gets harder and harder to think up themes. We have done My Fair Lady, All That Glitters (our golden anniversary), Breakfast at Tiffanys, and one other I can't remember.
Got any good themes that you liked? Easy to make a show schedule from? I have read all the ones on the AIS. Our past president is a singer so maybe he will have some ideas but.....
I need some help.

Battle of the Bands? (Yes, that's an actual iris, but it could also encompass other irises named after songs and artists?)

Good Heavens/Heavenly Host (Names with 'Sun', 'Star', 'Moon', 'Sky', 'Cloud' etc.)

National Geographic (Animals, countries, lakes, deserts, cities and more.)

Grandchildren are my greatest joy.

One of our last schedules was entitled "Beauty Is". Classes included "Simply Pretty"....show restraint." Bountiful Beauty"..a mass design. "Pretty as a Picture"....a design in a frame. "Beauty and the Beast"....iris is beauty. Designer picks the beast. "I Fill Pretty......feature textures" There were other classes. I will look for more schedules......

I'm sure Paul2032 will be very helpful. I always love the schedules he writes. One I remember, not necessarily written by him, had to do with countries. It was something like "Iris around the world" where each arrangement was to depict a country.

I have written down all of these suggestions and I hope that Paul does research some of his old show schedules for more ideas.
