Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Michael Miller')

Michael Miller has been here about five years or more. Moved it from its original location. Plant is still a single fan after all these years. Gonna move it one more time. If it doesn't do well in the new location I will have to change its first name. Blooms are big and clean, opens well. Much whiter than my pics. Diamond dusting at times.

I have had Michael Miller for a few years, and while it is fully evergreen, it is doing fairly well here.
The clump has increased from the first two fans to a small clump, so it isn't nearly as touchy as
others I have had. Scapes are sturdy and it is nicely budded. It is quite white in full sun, and the
flower petals are rounded and ruffled with a slight yellow border. The flowers are a nice size and
it is pod fertile. I like this one.

Was a very white bloom, but did nothing here and lost it in severe winters of several years ago.

Mine tends to have a lot more yellow in the blooms than others here have shown. It has also been very slow to increase for me. Blooms are a good size and they open quite nicely. Mine are very often diamond dusted. Overall, not sure how I feel about this one but it's not going anywhere just yet. Gonna give it a few more years to see if the clump fills out more.

This is a new to me DL shared by a generous member (since I'm a newbie the DLs, everything is new to me). Sorry about that. But its evergreen leaves have stayed green even in our infrequent single digit temps (although it's still in a pot). It did not bloom for me last year, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it this summer after I get it in the ground in a few weeks. I'm hoping that the diamond dusting shows on all of it's blooms. I'll post photos then.
