Hi folks, if you live near Madison Wisconsin don't forget that the Wisconsin Garden Expo is next weekend! It's one of the better garden shows in the midwest. Smiling

Did anyone go to this besides me and Magnolialover? Mags was working the Wisconsin Peony Society booth on Saturday or Sunday. I was up there on Friday. Yes, they had lots of stuff you could buy. Lily Bulbs, Peonies, Hostas, seeds and all sorts of other things.

I needed another peony like I needed another hole in my head, but I came home with Itoh Viking Full Moon anyway. Big Grin LOL

Great that you got to go. How far of a drive was it for you?

The Nashville Lawn and Garden show will be the first weekend of March and I always go. It really gets me pumped and I have found so many unique items there over the years.

I always have a nice time volunteering there. You never know what people are going to say either! Lots of people asking for growing advice, when to move, how much light to give them... why is mine not blooming... This year someone asked me how to kill one. They were serious. It must have been some old fashioned fragrant beauty that had been around decades before these people moved in. He apparently hates it and has used round up, mowed it down in spring as it comes up only to have it return .... for 25 years. Too heavy of a rootstock to dig up.

I said there are hundreds of people who have stopped by here who would love to have your problem, who would come to your house to help you dig it out so they could have it. Hilarious!

Amazing! This man's problem would be a treasure for many people! He needs only to announce it and there will be a long line of volunteers! Hilarious!

What kind of sadist...to go up to people who adore something and then tell them you wish to kill the very thing they love. I would have told him to go elsewhere.
Thumbs down Sighing!

LG, believe me, it crossed my mind. Whistling Sometimes don't you wonder if people like that just do that to see what you'll do? I smiled and told him everything. The people working with me, some of them overheard the whole thing and thought why on earth did he stop by. He would have gotten better advice at an exterminator booth.

What I don't get is why after all those years you wouldn't just find someone to dig it out and make use of it? Right? In twenty five years you had to have spoken to at least one person who loved peonies.

Yeah... it took some nerve for sure.
