Shriveling indicates lack of moisture, which has 2 basic causes for a potted, indoor plant. One is that there is no moisture for roots to deliver to foliage. The other is that the roots have become damaged & unable to deliver moisture to foliage.

I water when dry or when I remember. I water until I see was water come out the bottom.
