Northern Splendor was new to the garden in 2017 and was planted bareroot in the spring. It settled in very well and seems like a vigorous grower. It bloomed nicely, too, with the flowers opening well and perfect blooms every time. I am looking forward to seeing how it performs this summer.

I've had Northern Splendor since 2018. I have it planted in a prime spot where it has excellent drainage and more hours of sun than many other parts of my garden. It is a very reliable bloomer but I have to say that it was only in 2021 that the blooms color and form improved dramatically. It may have been due to abundant rainfall that summer but I was finally very impressed.

Although not listed as reblooming it did rebloom for me in 2020 which shocked me because I rarely get rebloom.

The flowers are registered as fragrant but I have yet to detect much of a scent.

Overall I think NS is a very pretty daylily that has performed well but needed some extra time to settle in before becoming a standout in the garden.
