I purchased this plant back in April 2016 from Shady Rest gardens. It grew well that year but did not bloom , it's first bloom was April 19th 2017. The plant has been a superior performer here in my garden. I took a lot of photos of this plant last year, it was a real beauty and it did rebloom for me. I am expecting great things from it again this year.
This was the fist bloom ever on this plant in my garden.

I purchased this plant in 2013 from a club sale [before I joined Whistling ]. A favorite if you like big, bold red daylilies. With decent dirt, sun and fertilizer, I'm sure it will do better than noted below.

FFO in TX has ranged between 5/6 and 5/22 with a typical date of 5/17. With benign neglect [little to no fertilizer and crummy soil], tree roots, moles, quite shady, etc, worst bud count was 6, best bud count was 14 here with 2-4 branches. Measured blooms have ranged between 6 and 7.5 inches with scapes ranging 21"-28". Rust has not been a problem. I have used the pollen. Pod setting has been difficult but have not really pursued this. The plant has survived -6F, albeit under snow cover.
I do have proof of one "polypeller" but no polymerous blooms and no proliferations. Fan expansion is slow here and I have not divided the plant in 10+ years.
recent pictures have been posted in May bloom forums
