I know there are thousands of registered irises just like the daylilies but do you mind taking a look?

Definitely looks SDB size. Can you post a couple more pictures of it? Looks a bit like Inner Space but need more pics.

It may have to grow for another season to get its true size and color. I agree with Leslie we need more photos from every angle. It looks a lot like my James Bond which blooms here a light blue with tan/brown markings and a blue beard. I moved my JB last year to a different area but it has a new bloomstalk on it so i may get to see it this year. Crossing Fingers! Mark your little iris as a NoID and give it another year for more photos. We should be able to ID it. Thumbs up In a week or two the little ones will start blooming and i will watch for similar ones that may help in IDing it. Smiling

Thank you Bonnie and iris forum. That's what I'll do. I went out to look at it today and darn squirrels have all but uprooted it. So we'll see what happens in a yrs time! Angel

Kabby, its always the one you are most eager to see that gets stepped on, dug up, chewed on or just plain disappears. Grumbling I guess that gives us something to really look forward to though. I hope it thrives and we get to see photos of future blooms. Smiling Thumbs up

The closest irises I can find to your NoID are Toned and Baffle. There aren't many photos of them on the internet so I don't know how the colours compare. The falls look more rounded on your NoID, but I thought they might be worth considering.
