Smiling Thank You! That is a very cool video and article. I am pretty sure this has made my day today. Just the thought that this world is filled with so many other people with esoteric interests is wonderful! Hurray!

So let's make a list:
What seeds have you put out to dry, only to find that you should have covered them because the seeds flew all over the room or table?

At the moment I can think of:
Hamamelis virginiana
Ruellia humilis
Claytonia virginica
Geranium spp.

Ruellia humilis

Rick I had castor bean seeds that hadn't dried enough to come out of their shells. I placed them in small paper sacks and they would explode in there. I would forget about them and they would pop in the sack causing my head to swivel every time it happened. Hilarious!

The seed pods of impatiens will explode in a nice warm closed hand. My daughter leaped when they exploded and, of course, they hit the kitchen floor.

Isn't it funny that the things that impressed or amused us as kids, just don't have the same effect with the grandkids?

Winter Sowing
My neighbor kids are kinda excited by snapdragons so I make sure I plant some every year so we can make them "bite" kid's fingers!
I need to plant something with exploding seedpods...
