Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Frosted Vintage Ruffles')

I have been growing FVR for over 5 years. It has increased at a rather slow rate, the clump is a modest size. It starts blooming here mid July, meets the registered 24" and gives a bud count of 13 on 2 way branching here. The color of blooms is consistent as pictured above with a fair amount of pink. I checked the data base for images and every one is different. I find that interesting.

This was new to me last summer and has not bloomed in my garden as of yet. I'm hoping for blooms this summer.

This cultivar was also new to me last summer. It did bloom its first season and settled into the garden well last year. The first year blooms matched the registered size and height.

New to me in 2016 it showed very modest growth in it's 2nd year and not a lot of blooms, but the blooms are very pretty. I have read that is known to be a prolific bloomer so I am hopeful for its 3rd season this year. The blooms were smaller than I had expected as well.

This one has been in my garden for a number of years, it does not increase fast. The blooms are lovely I like color edged blooms. I would not call it a prolific bloomer here as it has a low bud count.

I bought this from Walmart 3 years ago, and it has grown very slowly, hardly surviving the first winter after I had it for nearly 8 months. To date it still hasn't bloomed either. I knew I was taking my chances when buying it from Walmart

My experience with this plant is that it has taken about three years to get established. Once it got established in my Zone 5 garden, it has increased at a pretty good rate. Bloom count is about 12 to 15. Scape height is 22 to 26 inches. I like the edge no eye look as I have several that I plan on hybridizing with.
