This is the "Red Pitcher Plant", Nepenthes ventricosa 'Rosea'. I have never had one bloom before and this plant now has two bloom stalks. I don't know whether these bloom regularly or seldom.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

That is SO cool! I have never seen one bloom either.

From what I understand it's quite a feat to get them to blooming size. You are apparently keeping it happy!!

Thanks, Carter. Before my move to Florida a month a ago, I sold the vast majority of my 1200+ tropical plants, including selling out of 43 varieties of orchids. I sold all of my carnivores, including the two that boomed. One of those had four stems in bloom. Their prices made them a steal.

I will basically have to start all over with my tropical plant growing. For the first time in my life, I now live in the sub-tropical area, Vero Beach. Growing tropicals should now be so much easier than when I was in Mississippi.

I agree this plant was a steal! Tendrils are getting fatter but no pitchers yet. A very healthy plant.

Try your hand at planting the seeds, Lisa. That's something I have never done, since these winter bloomers were my first.
