Can anyone shed any light on why, all of a sudden, when I want to print something (like an online recipe, or an email) does my computer want me to "save" it before it will print it? I have to save it someplace, give it a name, then go back to where I saved it, and THEN print it. It just started this crap 2 or 3 weeks ago. I have changed nothing. It's a PITA that the little box that I could click that said "print" is no longer available for me to do that. Grrrr...............

Have you tried right clicking, and using that print function? For example, if I wanted to print your post, I just put my cursor on your post above and press the right button on my mouse. Cheers!

I excel at cursive, but I wanted to AVOID having to write out recipes, etc.

sadly I have found that cursive is faster than trying to make the dumb thing work. With recipes I just take a photo and make it using that. If it turns out and I want to actually keep the recipe, THEN I write it out by hand on a card. I finally gave up on my printer about 3 years ago and didn't get another one. Its just as easy to save all of what I need to print, transfer it to a stick and take it to the library once in a while to print. I drive by there anyway, it only costs 10 cents a page, and I don't have to mess ink, paper, make believe paper jams, or any of that nonsense anymore. I rather LOVED dumping it in the trash can, made me feel big and in charge nodding

Anna can you make a text folder on your home screen? Copy and paste the recipe and see if it will print from there.

Another thing you can try is to unplug your printer for a few minutes the plug it back in...restart your computer, it may help.

I just got an attachement that I needed to print. I right clicked on it, then clicked on "print". Then that frickin' print screen came up where I had to SAVE it, it will NOT let me print like it used to. Stupid piece of crap.............I don't want to have to save everything before I can print it. Just dumb. Grumbling Grumbling
