This past Thursday our Abundant DL order arrived. It was a crazy day, DLS showed up just as we were leaving for a dental appt. for me. We only had time to put DLS in water and take off. There were complications, ended up having to drive to another town to an oral surgeon to finish off the original procedure. We got home late, no time for planting. Yesterday, my husband did the planting, and then yesterday evening, the bad storms started. We were under tornado warnings for about an hour, spent some time in the closet hoping nothing would happen. Just lucky, just some hail and wind that did not seem to do too much damage, but now it is cold and we may have frost or freeze tonight, don't know yet. I am sure we will have to cover some plants, will know more when we see the weather forecast for tonight. Anyway, the daylilies are fine, and here's what we got: Entwined In The Vine, Child Of Atlantis and Adventures In Oz. We received extra fans on Child Of Atlantis, a very nice surprise. Now if we can just get the weather to settle down, but it's April and there's no telling what will happen. I did find three scapes on Lotus Position, and one scape on Tribal Council and Miss Victoria, hope they can survive any cold weather.

Thanks for posting this! I've bought a LOT of plants from Abundant Daylilies on LA, and since this is my first time dealing with that particular seller it's reassuring to know that you're so happy with your order.
Since I'm in Ohio, my order won't ship for a while (we still have a dusting of snow on the ground today), so you've eliminated some of my concern.

I hope your crazy weather settles down for you; it sound like you have a lot on your plate right now.

Crazy weather😞 supposed to get down to 25 here tonight. I was out earlier covering lilies-lilium type. Some were up about a foot, most made it a couple of nights ago when it got down to 29, but I know they won't at 25 degrees. Hope your day lily blooms make it. I always liked Lotus Position, mine is not an early bloomer though

My order from Mark at Abundant Daylilies also arrived on Thursday, and after soaking them overnight I got them potted up yesterday. A very nice order -- HALO EFFECT, MYSTERIES REVEALED (renamed from BREAKTHROUGH), PISMO, BLUE DARLING, MAGIC BULLET, ELFIN BLUES, FLOATING AWAY, MEET YOUR DESTINY, FADED GLORY and TET OUT OF THE BLUE -- and a couple of extra fans as a bonus. I think Mark Sattelmeier is very reliable and a good person to work with.

Sounds like you had quite an exciting last few days, Avedon -- whew! I think I still have about 45 daylilies yet to come in the next month or two and then I'll be finished for the spring.

Oh yes, and I discovered two scapes in my garden today, on DIAMOND SHORES and a seedling. Hurray! nodding

Quite a few plants covered last night, and it was 30 degrees and sunny when we got up a few hours ago, don't know if there was frost, but I am pretty sure the plants will be okay, hubby is out now uncovering them. Thank goodness it is supposed to be much warmer tonight, should not have to cover, I hope. All daylilies we have received from Mark Sattelmeier have been good, no problems. @Betty, I like the way you put it, "exciting last few days". This time of year when severe weather really ramps up, we wish it weren't exciting at all. And, the regular dentist wasn't the worst, it was the oral surgeon bill. Crying I could have bought some of those expensive daylilies with that money. Sighing!
I think our next DL delivery will probably be in a couple of weeks, weather permitting. It's been so bad weather wise in so many places, I imagine our orders from the northern states may be delayed if the cold persists.

We got down to 28 Saturday night, not quite as cold as they predicted. A bit of snow, more than predicted but it melted fast. I covered some peonies and regular lilies, I think my peonies would have been fine without cover, but my lilies would have lost their blooms if I had not covered. My day lilies came through fine, I did cover a few that looked a bit more delicate. I was really worried about them, it was a clear, still night, perfect for a good hard frost that we did get. Day lilies are up and really starting to look lush and ready for spring.
I am so sorry you had the dental experience. That can really hit the pocketbook, hope not terribly painful for you.

@a lily fan, thanks, and glad you posted about your weather. Good to know your plants are okay. We have some Asiatic lilies here, and it wasn't the weather that got some of them, it was a rabbit. By the time we realized what was going on, it was too late for quite a few of ours. Those that are left are now being covered every night. We did cover the daylilies with scapes and they are fine, no damage. However, we are hoping this is the end, for one year we had a late freeze and we spent a couple of hours covering nearly all our daylilies for the scapes were up so high. That definitely was not fun, and we had to do it two nights in a row.

Sounds as if you have had a horrid few days, Avedon. Hope that your mouth is okay now. Fingers crossed that you get no more tornado warnings or awful weather and that all your dsylilies are okay Crossing Fingers!

Very envious that you have Child of Atlantis Smiling
