Hi folks, I tip my hat to you.

DH found this guy (gal?) under our garden bench and I'm just curious if anyone knows what it is.

Thank You!

Looks like a Wolf Spider web.
As Yogi Berra said, “It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future.”

I guess without getting a gander of it outside the web, it'll be hard to distinguish between funnel web wolf spider and grass spider (they look so similiar to me online). Thank You! both for the suggestions!

Drop something little on its web, and have your camera ready. He'll run out to see what it is.

Oh well. You'll probably see another one sooner or later.
Me and my friend used to catch one kind of spider and drop it on another spider's web to watch a spider fight.

I did that as a kid by mistake. I mean, I found two "neighboring" spiders near each other under a cabinet and thought they were Momma and baby (I was a kid). Apparently it was a female and a male because she killed it. Crying
