Would anyone like to be able to download a full size version of some of the great images at NGA for a background on their computer?

Would anyone like to contribute some of their beautiful images to be downloaded by others?
Keep in mind they are for backgrounds on monitors, so need to be large enough to fill a screen.

I originally posted a suggestion at the Site Talk forum to create a Background Image DB here at NGA, The thread "Would you like a Background Photo DB?" in Site Talk forum , but it didn't get enough support (7 thumbs/271 views).

Dave suggested posting here, and possibly linking to a photo sharing site. So if you would like to share your photos
in all their glory (vs the 1000 px cutdown version for post here), please offer them here with a link to
wherever you have them stored online.

You can stipulate that they be only used for personal use (or not), and can watermark or copyright them if you want.

I'll start it off with a slideshow of garden pics from 2016. http://cal3d.com/Garden%202016...
The images are 1600x1200, and ~200 kb - 500 kb.

If you see an image you like:
1. right click on it: select Save Image As (call it what you want, save it where you want)
Thumb of 2018-04-25/EscondidoCal/8eee0e

2. find the image wherever you saved it

3. right click on it.....select Set as Desktop Background
Thumb of 2018-04-25/EscondidoCal/c62488

I hope you will enjoy these images, and will make your images available for others to enjoy, too. Smiling

Great idea!

I agree
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

This appears to be an excellent place to show & share your images.

I agree that Pexels is a good place to share images but once an image is uploaded to Pexels, the original owner of that image is giving it away and cannot specify how or where it can be used. Pexels images can be used for any purpose, private or commercial.

Some folks might prefer to use image hosting sites where the images can only be shared with limited use.

As a member who also happens to be someone who tries to sell pictures, I do not believe in any photo sharing of the size asked for. There are already enough places giving away pictures that you can use. I just think we need that here. Gene

Every photo I've ever posted here shows up under Google search results and are readily available online already, so I see no issue with it. I have found pictures of mine on pinterest that were harvested from here as well. People are going to take it anyway, it might as well be a decent quality picture.
