It seems not long ago that we had 300 individuals contributing to the DB. Today we crossed over to 400 members.

Additionally, we have some serious powerhouse members. There are a lot of members who have contributed very impressive numbers to the database. Vic has added over 6,500 photos and many more have uploaded over a thousand.

But Calif_Sue is a giant among us. She recently uploaded her 10,000th image to the database. Congratulations, Sue! That number is astounding to me and boggles the mind.

We have a bit over 63,000 photos in the database, and over half a million plants listed. The numbers go up and up every day.

So far this month, 12,110 gardeners from around the world visited various pages in the database, finding it through Google searches. I think this database is already one of the most useful plant databases in the world, and every single addition we make brings it one step closer.

To me, most amazing of all is that all this growth of the site has taken place during the gardening off-season. What will 2012 look like? I predict great things, and great growth! Thank you all for helping build this new gardening community.

12,000 google hits in a month is pretty spectacular, too. Didn't the database launch just about 6 months ago? And ATP, maybe a year ago? Very impressive.

We launched ATP on July 4th, 2011 (about 8 months ago).

The database was launched on Sep 16.

Dave, it's all those thumbs up and acorns you are dishing out, people just can't get enough of them.
