I grew this for a number of years and also loved the bright, pure clarity of color. It was a very vigorous plant that increased quickly.....great landscaper for a pop of color!

Frank - Possibly the time of day. In the morning a bloom could look a certain way but by later in the day, it can change pretty drastically.

This was my first full season growing this cultivar and I was quite pleased with it. Big, very bright orange blooms with a very large and bold red eye. Blooms are held on sturdy scape well above the foliage.
