An inspiration garden idea:
Pick a favorite parent iris and create a garden with all her kids!
Thank you

Excited for this Spring to arrive, even in our above average downpour rainy 2018.
Last year planted new iris gardens including the nod to "Fancy Tales".
Searched out heirloom iris I had in the 90's along with new beautiful plants.
Discovered many iris vendors with a great variety of plant selections, rhizome sizes, communication skills and shipping techniques.
A fun journey, I learned a lot along the way and met many interesting folks.
So I have over 100 iris, only lost 1 this very wet winter.
I tented over my "Fancy Tales" with bamboo sticks, mesh plastic fencing, to keep out birds, and topped the bamboo sticks with a plastic pot/plastic grocery bag umbrella. Worked Great!!

Doing a log of all the iris as they bloom with pics.

So my first iris has bloomed:
"Dwarf Cherry Garden"
From Nita's Garden on Ebay.

Nita has a bid Ebay site, with lots of historic iris, I think many from Cooley's Iris in the 90's. Nita is a great communicator, her prices are very fair, often includes a BONUS iris, shipping quick and the rhizomes are large and healthy, out of Idaho.
Highly recommend purchasing from Nita
Thanks for reading my notes Thank You!

Hi Robin, Barbara and Jan,
Thank you, for your warm welcome.
Yes, Robin, "Fancy Tales" has a great group of kids, some old time historic favorites.
The picture I have is not from my newly planted memorial garden.
So when "Fancy Tales" blooms, I'll upload her new pic.
Hopefully, this year, she's a very slow grower.
Thank You!

It looks like Blue J has 'Korean Beauty' in stock this year for $5.00. I'm warned it is a difficult grower, though.

Hi Sarah Jane,
Nice of you to think of me !
Thanks for letting me know.
I have an order with Sheri @ BlueJ again this year.
Just sent her an email to include "Korean Beauty" in my order.
So a child of "Fancy Tales", not surprised a difficult grower.
Thank You!
