I have recently (and stupidly) re-potted an older Monstera Deliciosa but lost 3/4 of the roots, as I could not get it out of the pot. Does anyone here know if the big guy will survive and if there is anything I can do to ensure that he makes it?

Welcome. Predicting the future is very hard to do. There are powders and solutions you can use that encourage root development. Why could you not get it out of the pot? Most of us would value the plant more than the pot and break the pot to free the plant. But, they are hardy plants. Keep your fingers crossed. Gene

As long as the remaining quarter of the roots are healthy and you moved the plant into a SMALLER pot just large enough to accommodate the reduced root system, then there is a reasonable chance for slow recovery.

If you could post a photo that shows the entire plant, including its pot, that would be helpful.

These guys are fairly tough plants. It may pout for a bit, but with some roots left it should recover as long as you don't over water it. That's assuming it was healthy & strong to begin with.
