Jpari said:Urania1, I was attracted to 'Rum is the Reason' in their catalog, however, I did not order it. What was your objection to it. I am interested to hear your critique since it may stop me from spending the money.

The color or lack thereof. I will let you compare.

Rebekah said:That's sad to hear Evelyn they are the closest Iris grower to me. I've read so much about them and even had a chance to visit them on the way back from a business trip. Unfortunately they didn't have anything for sale yet. The woman working in the office told me it would be another week. The grounds were well kept but so much smaller than expected. I wonder if they have other tracts of land? I used to make the trek down to Oregon to visit Heirloom gardens but that's been closed to the public and now they only sell rose online. I was hoping Shriners would be a good replacement though the window in which there open is so small it's hard to get away this time of year.

It is a keeper, for me. I have a few that I grow just because I like them. I have been told I was a plant snob for tagging everything but I do keep a few unknowns.
