Given to me by a friend who does not know the ID. Says it is definitely a rebloomer. Is currently blooming in Northern Virginia, our first STBI to bloom.

Looks like it may be What Again?, which is a rebloomer.

What Again and Blueberry Tart are both in that color range. Subsequent blooms may be different so take more photos of the iris as the season progresses and post here. Smiling

Bonnie, I hadn't realized they look so much alike till you mentioned BT.

Thank you for the ID possibilities gemini and granny! Just went out with a measuring tape and the plant booms at a height of 18 - 22 inches, much taller than our other SDBIs, so I assumed it was not one. Any thoughts on the height observation?

Height can be pretty variable......stuff here is much taller & more "spindly", than normal, this season.

David, It is now growing into the IB category but that may change. Like Arlyn said this year not only is everything blooming out of its normal time frame but also growing out of its class. Keep the photos and measurements for three years running with notes on how it performs. That will give you a solid foundation for finding its I.D. Thumbs up In the meantime keep looking for look-a-likes in the SDB/IB classes. Smiling

Thanks everyone for your input! Think 'What Again' may be a match except standards are darker in most photos. Photos are of several plants in a large pot, but we also have a clump in bloom in-ground that is a bit shorter. Granny/Bonnie - plants have now had multiple blooms and colors have been uniform throughout a blooms life and from one bloom to the next, very consistent.

Just an observation, the Noid has white and yellow beards, the suggested 'What Again' has lavender and yellow beards. Can beard color differ on the same variety grown under different conditions?

Thank you Jerry for your astute observation, and the continuation of my uncertainty. Smiling
