Hello Everybody,
My Name is Sheila (Yiayia is grandmother in Greek; another user had already taken Sheila).
I am new here and summer garden with roses zone 6 Boston (one unknown HT growing along a wall got me hooked) I envision switching a bunch of those babies out for a change of pace though they are beautiful.
My winter garden is in Zone 10 southeast Florida. I will be putting roses in along this 50 foot wall. As I am new, this year I will only be using my back garden to get my feet wet on a few different types to watch growth pattern, habits etc. My back garden is/will be warm colors my wall, pastels (I think)
So here is the house :

Florida offers specific challenges to rose growers that I'm not experienced with, but if there are any public gardens in your area growing roses that would be a good place to get ideas. A local rose society may be helpful too. I understand that roses in Florida need to be grafted to rootstock that is resistant to soil nematodes that inhabit soils there. Looks like a great blank canvas for new roses! Best of luck and please keep us posted!

I don't grow a lot of HT roses. So I guess I'll only give very peripheral info here. As for rootstock, I'm thinking fortuniana rootstock might be the kind Neal is referring to. One place to get HT roses on that stock is K&M Roses https://www.kandmroses.com.

Not everyone falls in love with them, but some old roses might be worthy of consideration. If so, suppliers that specialize in roses for the south such as Antique Rose Emporium or A Reverance for Roses might be good places to look. If Marechal Neil were on sale at ARfR and I lived in Florida, I'd nab one.

I think Olympiad would look good with the yellow of the house, FWIW.
