I am preparing a program for the American Iris society on Miniature tall bearded iris and I would would like some input on good growers. I have a list of Williamson-White medal winners but tht does not men there re others. Help plese nd lso include how you growthem. Thanks!

One of my best growers is "Elfin Shadows" (one of Lucy's). It seems to be just a bit of a slow starter (didn't bloom for me the first season...just made increase) but it's been a bloomin', growin' fool ever since !

another exceptional grower, here, is one that is sometimes seen "re classed". Joseph's Coat Katkamier grows as an MTB for me...in class, and in season...and is also a real dependable bloomer.

Sherwin-Wright is a great grower for me. Siskin is another one that has done well. Tom Tit also.
Queen's Baby, Maggie me Darling and Queen's Baby have not done well for me, nor has Mrs Neubronner.
This class is somewhat neglected it seems.

Maggie Me Darlin has done fairly well for me. I was surprised by the reliable performance of a pink one called New Encore. Dollie and Me is a newer one that has done well here. Little Dolly, purchased at a HIPS sale has also performed very well and it is a pink one too. But for performance and rebloom I would have to say the hardest working little MTB in my garden is Lady Emma.

I live near central AR, zone 7a. I grow them just like all the other medians. I keep some in pots and they seem to thrive there also. One reason I keep some in pots is so that i can pull them up closer during their blooms season so everyone can see and enjoy them.

I think MTB's are delightful irises.

I've had really good bloom from Frilly Molly, Coral Capers and PeeBee and Jay. I didn't get them dug and replanted last year so not sure how much bloom I will have in this, their fourth year.
