Anyone growing or heard of Mircle on the hudson? I got it from my son for mother's day. It is listed as a shrub rose, the flowers are red in color and have a medium spicy scent. Thanks for any info on this rose

I grew it as a test rose for the breeder. I live in a climate with high summer temps, but so does the breeder ...

For me, I thought it was just an OK rose. I wasn't really all that impressed with its performance. There were no disease issues and it was sufficiently vigorous. The foliage is beautiful and worked well with the red blooms. It just didn't call my name and I was happy to pass it along ... with the breeder's permission.

Lyn, thank you for the info on this rose. You sorta described my climate here minus the altitude. We are at 6000 ft. Here so things grow very slowly here. But it was a gift and I never give those away, so am hoping for the best. I did give it a prime peace of realestate to grow on. Even dug out a Dr. Huey that was growing really good and replanted it elsewhere. Darn thing is still growing strong. Will update later on the progress of this rose.

MOTH has done very well in many different climates. It's not a bad rose. It just didn't have my name on it.
