I did some wintersowing back in January and I sowed several yellow ratibida seeds. I these seedlings that look similar but they have a pod-like flower bud. I'm not sure what I have now? Can anyone identify it? Thanks.

Is that a bloom pod I see? If no one knows by the leaves the bloom will probably tell. Could you post a pic when it opens?

I was growing this plant in Hamilton Square Garden but never posted a photo as I wasn't completely sure of the ID. It's what came to mind when I saw your plant based on the leaves. I had never noticed the buds shape on my plant but now that I look closer I see the wings. Plains Sundrops (Oenothera serrulata subsp. serrulata) Just a guess on my part but Tofi is correct on the Genus though it is now Oenothera according to COL.

Calylophus/Oenothera that's it! I forgot I had planted those in a winter sowing container. I completely forgot about them and I thought none had sprouted. Thanks so much everyone! Hurray!
