Sometimes we have to step away from the garden department to find something that will work in the garden.

The other day I was at Home Depot, near the concrete, masonry, tile supplies aisle and found the most useful item. It is a kneeler board to help the workers who install tile and such and have to spend a lot of time on their knees working on rough surfaces.

It's very sturdy, has two lovely handles, and a thick cushioned area. It's large enough for even my fat knees. It seems to be fairly water resistant but I probably would not recommend leaving it outside forever in the hot sun.

It's the Anvil brand kneeler board. Available from several retailers at a cost between $15-$24.

What a great idea Greene!

How is it weight wise, nice and light?

Tha's the beauty part. It weighs almost nothing. The cushion part reminds me of the commercial floor mats - really cushiony. I did not buy it yet. Maybe I'll treat myself once I finish building the chicken coop. That can be my reward. Thumbs up Hurray!

Turn it over for knees on the ground, so placed, it also helps stand up from kneeling.
From Amazon.

Greene ~ I love the idea of a kneeler board. Knee pads are uncomfortable cutting off circulation when I "pray" too long. The main problem I have is getting back up (at this age) so the kneeling bench works better for this old gal. But I agree, thinking outside the box finds some real useful treasures. Thumbs up
