I recognize the Fall Aster, but what are those sweet looking little flowers next to it? Gorgeous photo and planting, as well.

I grow lots of dianthus in Redding CA. They can take the hot hundred plus degree Summers and they grow all winter they never stop blooming they are one of the trademark flowers in my garden

Thanks, Crystal, glad you like the plants. The small flowers are indeed dianthus (some small flowered variety, I'm afraid I don't know which, but they grow very easily and bloom for a long time). The others are delosperma, a sort of ice plant - a succulent - but I agree that they look like asters! They're growing here in the south of France, so plants tolerant of hot, dry conditions are ideal!
