Danita - thank you for posting that! I had been putting items into my cart just hours before you posted, wondering if I should really make a purchase just yet.....then I saw your post and went back to the site, sure enough, a bunch of things went on sale! I loaded up on a bunch of stuff, things I otherwise wouldn't have ordered, but that I want, and I even treated myself to doubles on several items. Rolling my eyes.

If I am lucky enough to win their gift card in the June NARR, I will probably go crazy with another, even bigger, order! Big Grin I missed a bunch of things the first time around that I wanted.

I also took advantage but kept the order small since I need to be careful with plant money this year. Some coneflowers and swamp milkweed. Lost the swamp milkweed I planted last year so trying again. nodding

I have to say, if it weren't for the NARR, I would never have known about Santa Rosa gardens, nor would I have had reason to peruse their site. That is no reflection on their site, just a matter that I would not have known about them nor thought about purchasing perennials from them. I have gone to local nursery chain stores and big box stores for my perennials in the past, but Santa Rosa has SO much to choose from, the online ordering is easy, and the prices (even pre-sale) tend to be better than local nurseries. I really appreciate them donating in the NARRs so that I could get name recognition and build up a trust level with them from seeing how pleased NGA friends are with their service.

I was just wondering TODAY when their sale was going to happen. As I look at unplanted iris. Whistling Whistling

Oh, just for fun, here is what I ordered from them:

- left behind when I moved, eager to have it again!

- not sure if the variety I'm getting is technically the blue or purple (description says 'instense purple', but the variety I'm getting isn't listed with the Registered trademark name of "Lavance Purple")

- not sure if this is the accurate variety...what I ordered was listed as "Wintergreen Peppermint Pearl"

Received my order to day. I was so excited. Hurray! They sent me a empty VERY large EMPTY BOX. With a packing slip on the front with every item marked N/A. I ordered 10 plants if none were available why are they shipping and charging for a box to be shipped across the USA?

I am furious. Getting ready to write them a killer letter right now.

Oh Cinta, that's ridiculous! Blinking
They generally have really good customer service so I'm sure that they will take care of you.
How disappointing, though. Sad

I know I have loved them for years. It is the only place I buy my coral bells from because they are so reasonable. But my last 2 orders within the last 2 yrs were disappointing.

Last yr they sent me a sedum that was dead on arrival. I took a picture and told them I was not happy. It was so small it could not even survive the shipping. It was planted in a larger pot still in its net seed starter and it had two little dead stems.

The order before that they had a plant on back order and kept sending me back order, back order for 4 months I finally told them to take it off my credit card. They said it was growing slower than they expected. Something is going on there.

Okay I am back and embarrassed but I do not like to give anyone bad info.

Their customer service is good. After my crazy letter of blah, blah blah refund my credit card and I will never order from SBG again this is the third in a row error. They replied.

Very nice and asked did I look under the top layer, I had put the box down in the woods on the compost pile. Fetched and yep there was a bottom layer and there were the plants. It is like having a false bottom because it is not high.

--
My response this morning to them.

opps. Please accept my sincere apology.

I sent my daughter down to the compost pile to get the box from the pile. The top board was so tight I assumed it was the bottom of the box. There was paper wrapped on the top layer like wrapped plants and placed in each slot. After I unwrapped all those and looked at the packing slip marked N/A I did not go into any other search of a false bottom.

I had two previous bad experience with SRG which sent me quick to think 3 strikes I was done.

Again i am so sorry. I do appreciate your great Customer Service. You handled my crazy butt well.
