Hi everyone, I was thinking of keeping my seedling born from a cross of Stella De Oro and Taffeta Mist.
I want to find a nice garden name because I am tired of calling it as a number.

But I can't think of anything nice, so I thought I'd post some pictures and ask you to join me in this quest, just for having fun together Smiling

Here it's the cute seedling:

and here are the parents:

It's 25" tall, the bloom is 4". Not a big plant but I like small plants they are nice to fill small spots here and there.
Thank you in advance!

How about 'Panna Cotta All'arancia'? It sure looks good enough to eat.

How fun Sabrina : )
Donald, I like the flavor of that name! Elegant...

Larry, I like the combo- always a fan of putting parent names in a new name, so I'm sticking with that theme

(plus I don't know enough Italian to hazard a regional name- I could butcher German enough to come up with something, but nah)

@seedfork - Larry, I was just thinking something similar, and @ShakespearesGarden, Diana, I'd like to put parent's name in this new name too.

I could use Italian or English, not a problem. To me English is more straight to the point, and shorter than Italian but both could work.
Thank you!

Cute bloom and plant, but I can't think of any names other than 'Miss Stella'.

I think Diana's suggestion of Stella Mist Me is awesome.

I like "mist" in some way... keep ideas coming.
I am also a bit into astronomy so stars or planets names if they come to your mind are welcome.

Ok friends, since I like Stellar Mist sooo much I call the game end!
@blue23rose - Vickie, you're the winner!
The new name of this seedling is officially Stellar Mist!

I still have 16 seedlings from different crosses, they will bloom in 15 days I hope, so if you want you'll help me again with garden names. If the seedling is of my liking, of course.

Thank You! to all!

I'm so excited!
All of the scapes visible are seedlings- there's around a dozen babies total, not all putting up scapes yet.

I have new seedlings that should bloom too! My problem is I give them garden names and then keep changing them! I'll use one name the first year and then another the second and decide on a final name the third year (if I decide to keep it).

Speaking of keeping them, I tried to get rid of a very prolific but short-scaped seedling last fall. I found two fans of it this spring! I was sure I'd gotten all of it! Now I have to decide whether to keep it or not. I feel like if it is that stubborn maybe I should keep it around. I have far too many daylilies that disappear on their own! Hilarious!

Elena I believe that seedling is trying to tell you something. Maybe you can call it Zombie??
