Thread OP

NONE! I love them all. Had to move from my large house and leave all my Iris. I believe I had every kind. Loved Immortality the best. Now I have to plant them all over.

Welcome! Jan

Still there must be a least favorite iris. One that doesn't grow well or increase. Maybe a least favorite color combination?

That one I hate only for it's name, but it is a pretty iris. Hilarious! I would surely through it out, because there's no way I can grow that one here.

Yeah I agree Lucy, they look sloppy to me. Though... maybe I'd think about them differently if I saw them in person. The ones I don't care for are the irises with wimpy substance, color can be forgiven over a weak structure.

My least favorite iris is a NOID iris that shows up from a vendor, when you were expecting something else very fabulous to be in it's place. And I can add to that, the iris that moves from "disliked" to "hated" is that NOID you have waited 3 or 4 years to bloom, only to find out it is not what you ordered and it is ugly to boot. Luckily most vendors only make the occasional mistake and I think an occasional NOID is understandable. I know I am not very good at it. I just sent Debbie from SC an iris and forgot to even label it.
As far as the most unappealing Iris I ever saw? It was this tannish/yellow dull as can be dull dull colored NOID received from a vendor, that I just dug up and through it the trash. It is the only Iris I have dug up that I didn't offer to others first before throwing. I feel a bit guilty saying this but I was thinking, this world will be a little bit better with out this particular iris growing in it. I don't know, maybe like ugly dog contests, we should start having an ugly Iris contest. If we do that, I think I through away the grand prize.

Heh, heh... I might have some of those. I have some that I'm not quite sure about. I will know when they bloom. Still, sometimes I see some that I don't care for a lot, but they happen to combine well with another to make a beautiful iris. Time will tell.

Yes, sometimes for me, I don't care for them and then they grow and bloom a lot. And that can take the edge off. But that real ugly one I had; if it grew and bloomed a lot, it would have been thrown in the trash even faster Smiling
