There's nothing quite as exciting as that first new rose bloom. Having said that, with some roses, especially the antique varieties, the first bloom often doesn't look nearly as beautiful as later, more mature blooms will. I can't be certain, but yours looks like a modern rose, and they often look more like the later blooms. I hope you'll post it for us when it blooms.
